Policy impacts on expanding horizons – understanding the system drivers

Both Australia and New Zealand are fortunate to have peak roles for Allied Health. While this can provide a focal point, the challenge remains in having Allied Health considered consistently alongside nursing and medicine from a policy and strategy perspective. This has been both a challenge and opportunity from an Aotearoa New Zealand perspective due to the largest system reformation in over 20 years. This presentation will highlight the levers of opportunity at a system level, and the parallel challenge of the Allied Health workforce being positioned for opportunities when they arise.
